Seitdem übernimmt die BPS Bildungsportal Sachsen GmbH den Systembetrieb und die Weiterentwicklung der Lernplattform im Auftrag der sächsischen Hochschulen.

32 Integraler Bestandteil dieser Infrastruktur ist ein verteilter Authentifizierungsmechanismus (auf Basis von Shibboleth), welcher die Login-Daten aus den Hochschul-Rechenzentren nutzt. So ist es möglich, dass keine neuen eigenen Logins für die Lernplattform durch die BPS Bildungsportal Sachsen GmbH vergeben werden müssen, sondern die vorhandenen Accounts an den Hochschulen genutzt werden können. Für eine solche Infrastruktur ist es notwendig, dass Daten die Server der Hochschulen verlassen - aber natürlich nur über gesicherte Verbindungen. Nur hierzu müssen Sie Ihr Einverständnis durch das Akzeptieren der Nutzungsbedingungen bei der Registrierung geben.
