9 [[image:attach:kb_file.png]]Der Kursbaustein **LTI-Tool **ist ein Baustein zur **Einbindung externer Lernapplikationen** in die Lernplattform. Die Abkürzung LTI steht für //Learning Tool Interoperability//. Mit diesem Kursbaustein kann externe Software, wie z.B. ein externer Chat, ein Mediawiki, ein Testeditor oder ein virtuelles Chemielabor in den Kurs integriert werden.

27 Nach dem Öffnen des Kursbausteins LTI-Tool erscheint, je nach Konfiguration des Tools durch den Autor, der Inhalt direkt im Kursinhaltsbereich oder der Button //**In neuem Fenster öffnen**//. Der Klick auf diesen Button öffnet die externe Lernapplikation in einem neuen Browser-Tab. Im Hintergrund werden dabei entsprechend der Autorenkonfiguration notwendige Anmelde- und Benutzerdaten geschützt an die eingebundene Lernapplikation übermittelt und von dieser ausgewertet.
