11 [[image:attach:Icons@KB_LTI.png]] Der Kursbaustein  **LTI-Tool **ist ein Baustein zur **Einbindung externer Lernapplikationen** in die Lernplattform. Die Abkürzung LTI steht für //Learning Tool Interoperability//. Mit diesem Kursbaustein kann externe Software, wie z.B. ein externer Chat, ein Mediawiki, ein Testeditor oder ein virtuelles Chemielabor in den Kurs integriert werden.

33 Nach dem Öffnen des Kursbausteins **LTI-Tool** erscheint, je nach Konfiguration des Tools durch den Autor, der Inhalt direkt im Kursinhaltsbereich oder der Button **In neuem Fenster öffnen**.

35 Der Klick auf diesen Button öffnet die externe Lernapplikation in einem neuen Browser-Tab. Im Hintergrund werden dabei entsprechend der Autorenkonfiguration notwendige Anmelde- und Benutzerdaten geschützt an die eingebundene Lernapplikation übermittelt und von dieser ausgewertet.
