4 Metadaten sind beschreibende Informationen, welche zu Aufgaben- und Testinhalten hinterlegt werden können. Metadaten tragen dazu bei, insbesondere bei großen Inhaltsmengen, die Inhalte zu strukturieren und durchsuchbar zu machen.

6 Neben klassischen Metadaten, wie Titel, Beschreibung und Schlagworten, können Sie Ihren Testaufgaben umfangreiche Klassifikationsinformationen hinsichtlich Lernziel, Fachbereich, Modul, Zielgruppe und Schwierigkeitsgrad mitgeben. 10 Die Metadatenbeschreibung und -speicherung erfolgt auf Basis des international anerkannten [[IEEE Learning Object Metadata (LOM) Standards>>doc:ONYX.Verwaltung von Testinhalten.Metadata.Standardkompatibilitaet]]. Die Metadatenfelder sind pro ONYX System freikonfigurierbar. Daher kann die Anzeige von den hier beschriebenen Feldern abweichen.

Neben Angaben zum Titel, einer Beschreibung und der Zuordnung der verwendeten Sprache können Sie Schlagworte für die Ressource vergeben. Der Button **Details einblenden** zeigt weitere spezifische Metadaten. Dazu gehört beispielsweise die Identifier. Nutzen Sie diese spezifische ID um im  Suchfeld nach einem Inhalt zu suchen.

50 Der Bearbeitungsstatus gibt eine wichtige Information zum aktuellen Fertigstellungsgrad und damit zur Qualität des Inhaltes. Es stehen die Status "Entwurf" und "Final" zur Verfügung. Durch die Pflege des Status können einfache Bearbeitungs- und Reviewprozesse realisiert werden.
51 Wie für alle Metadatenfelder kann der Status bei der Suche von Inhalten genutzt werden und beispielsweise gezielt alle Inhalte im Status "Entwurf" angezeigt werden. Darüber hinaus kann der Status in den Übersichtstabellen eingeblendet werden um einen schnellen Einblick zum Status aller Inhalte zu bekommen.
