Hardware

Recommendation for 100 concurrent users

  • 6 GB RAM
  • 2 CPUs  >2 GHz
  • 100 GB HDD

Software

We recommend Linux (64bit).
 The following distributions are currently used for productive instances: Scientific Linux 5.6, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, Ubuntu 10.04 12.04 LTS, Open Suse 12, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server. Other distributions are also possible.

Webserver: Apache Webserver with proxy_ajp and mod_rewrite (optional)
Database server: Postgresql or MySQL
Application server: Oracle Java 8, Apache Tomcat 8
MAXIMA for the use of calculations (optional)

 

The ONYX test suite has been developed in the programming language JAVA. It is possible also to use other operating systems, databases and servlet container.
