In the tab Title and description in the course editor, you can determine for each course element individually which information about that element (title, content, description) should be displayed to learners in the course view.
For example, this might look as follows for a folder course element:

All course elements are provided with a reasonable presetting, which mostly includes the setting Title, description and content. You may adjust this setting by selecting another available display option for the respective course element.
