Open Administration Area

In the administration section, general administrative tasks can be carried out. Only people having the role of user administrator, learning resource administrator, group administrator or system administrator can see this area as a central tab.

Users who log in with an alternative login, e.g. via shibboleth authentication or LDAP, must have an OPAL password set by a user administrator to open these functional areas. The change password page describes how a user administrator can set this.

After entering the OPAL password all the function areas available to you will be displayed.

These can be:

• Manage Users
• Manage Groups
• System administrieren (System administrators only)
• User-data Extraction  (System administrators only)
• Systemuebersicht  (System administrators only)

In case of inactivity, the administration access ends automatically after the displayed period of time. Alternatively, you can end the access yourself by clicking on the End Access button.
