Manage participants and supervisors of a topic
Open the course element Topic Assignment and click on the topic name.
Switch to the tab Participants and supervisors. Now you have the following options:
Remove users: Select the checkbox next to the participant you want to remove and click on Remove user.
Accept as participant: Select the checkbox next to the user you want to add and click on Accept participant. Note that this function is only available in the Candidates table if you have enabled the option in the course editor that participants must be accepted by supervisors.
Add users directly as participants or topic supervisors: Use this field to add individual users of your institution to a topic. Enter at least three letters for the first or last name of the person in the text field. If a user is found in the system that you are authorised to enter based on your user rights, this user will be displayed in a pop-up selection list. Just click on the name and the user will be added to the list.
Activate or Reactivate a topic
If the configuration option "Topic authors have to accept participants" is activated, a topic is not automatically reactivated for selection when accepted participants are removed from the user list. The status "full" remains for the time being and participants cannot select the topic, even though there are still places available.
To reactivate a topic, proceed as follows:
- Open the Edit topic tab of your selected topic.
- Change the status setting from “full" to “free".
- Save this setting.
The topic is now available again if no other settings such as visibility/access or date restrictions prevent this.
