Usage: Learners' View
Overview
In the glossary, you will find relevant terms and definitions as well as synonyms and flexions if necessary. When opening the glossary, all included terms will be displayed to you in alphabetical order. You can search for content using the letter bar in the header area or the search field. |
Functions for users
The following functions are available to users within a glossary:
Search the glossary
To search for a term, proceed as follows:
1 | Open the glossary. | |
2 | It opens a view in which all terms are displayed. | |
3 | You will find a search field in the top right corner. Enter the term or individual letters to search the glossary. | |
4 | Alternatively, you may also filter the glossary content using the character bar. |

Create, edit, delete
Create glossary learning content
To create a new glossary, proceed as follows:
To create new learning content, proceed as follows:
1 | Open the tab Teach & Learn. Click on Create learning content on the home page of the Teach & Learn section. | |
2 | Select the content type you wish to create, e.g. a wiki. | |
3 | In the dialogue, you can now enter a title and description for your learning content and optionally add an image. Click on Done to save your entries and close the dialogue. | |
4 | The created learning content opens. Depending on the content type, various functions and information may be available. The resource can now be edited or embedded in a course. |

Edit glossary learning content
To edit a glossary, first open the resource in the editing mode.
Here you will find the following editing options:
Delete glossary resource
A glossary, like all other learning content, can be deleted as follows:

Use glossaries as independent learning resources
Publish the glossary to access it independently of any courses and make it available to your learners. For more information, see the help page Publish learning resources.
