Testen in OPAL

Die ONYX Testsuite ist das E-Assessment-Werkzeug der Lernplattform OPAL. Die Erstellung von Testinhalten und deren Durchführung sind innerhalb der Lernplattform aufeinander abgestimmt und bieten vielfältige Zusatzoptionen. Ihre ONYX Testinhalte werden hier vollständig integriert und Sie profitieren von umfangreichen Bewertungs-, Auswertungs- und Ergebnisinformationen.

Die Durchführung Ihrer Testsettings innerhalb der Lernplattform bietet Ihnen und Ihren Testteilnehmern u.a. folgende Vorteile:

  • ONYX-Test- und Fragebogenressourcen werden in der Lernplattform OPAL direkt als Lerninhalte angezeigt und müssen nicht neu angelegt werden.
  • Durch die Vergabe individueller Nutzerrechte im ONYX-Aufgabenpool können Sie von den Vorteilen kollaborativen Arbeitens bei der Erstellung und Pflege von Testressourcen profitieren.
  • Teilnehmer authentifizieren sich einmal an der Lernplattform und können neben der Testdurchführung weitere E-Learningwerkzeuge nutzen.
  • Der Start und die Konfiguration der Testdurchführung können über vielfältige Attribute gesteuert werden.
  • Sie können die Testdurchführung begleiten und bei Bedarf korrigierend einwirken (Prüfungssteuerung).
  • Integrieren Sie Ihre Testinhalte in Ihre bestehende Lehr-Lern-Szenarien in der Lernplattform und nutzen Sie so Ihre Testinhalte zur Einstufung, Wissensvertiefung und Wissensüberprüfung.
  • Mithilfe der Lernplattform OPAL ist die Abbildung einfacher Selbsttests zu Übungszwecken, aber auch die Umsetzung von komplexen Prüfungsszenarien möglich.

Test in OPAL bereitstellen

Nachfolgend wird ein einfacher Grundworkflow zur Bereitstellung eines Tests in der Lernplattform OPAL beschrieben. Weitere ausführliche Informationen zur Lernplattform OPAL finden Sie im OPAL Benutzerhandbuch.

Um einen ONYX-Test als Kursbaustein in Ihren OPAL-Kurs zu integrieren, sollten Sie als Autor und Betreuer folgende Schritte planen:

Einloggen

Als Nutzer in der Lernplattform OPAL einloggen. Um selbst Kurse zu erstellen oder zu editieren, benötigen Sie Autorenrechte in der Lernplattform. Diese erhalten Sie von Ihrer zuständigen Supportstelle.

Kurs öffnen

Öffnen Sie den gewünschten Kurs, in dem das Assessment erfolgen soll. Ist noch kein Kurs vorhanden, müssen Sie einen neuen Kurs erstellen und freigeben. Der Kurs sollte mindestens eine Lerngruppe besitzen.

ONYX-Ressource zuordnen und durchführen (lassen)

Einen Selbsttest, Test oder Fragebogenbaustein im Kurs anlegen und diesem eine ONYX-Ressource zuordnen.

Ergebnisse auswerten

Um die Testergebnisse nach der Durchführung auszuwerten, stehen im Bewertungswerkzeug verschiedene Ergebniseinsichten und Exportmöglichkeiten zur Verfügung. Darunter speziell für ONYX-Ressourcen statistische Übersichten oder die Möglichkeit zur anonymen aufgabenbasierten Bewertung.

Test oder Fragebogen starten

Nach der Authentifizierung öffnen Teilnehmer den betreffenden Kurs. Teilnehmer finden diesen beispielsweise im Bereich Lehren & Lernen, wenn sie in den Kurs eingeschrieben wurden. Weitere Möglichkeiten relevante Kurse zu finden, beschreibt die Seite Arbeit in Kursen. 

Im geöffneten Kurs navigiert der Nutzer zum gewünschten Kursbaustein. Mit Klick auf den Button Test starten oder Fragebogen starten öffnet sich das Assessment und kann vom Nutzer durchgeführt werden.

Test oder Fragebogen auswerten

Je nach Ressource können einfache oder umfangreiche Auswertungen durchgeführt werden. Einen Überblick der entsprechenden Möglichkeiten gibt die Seite Auswertung von Tests.

The ONYX Testsuite is the e-assessment tool of the learning platform OPAL. The creation of test content and its implementation are coordinated within the learning platform and provide a variety of additional options. Your ONYX test content is fully integrated here, and you benefit from extensive assessment, evaluation and result information. 

The implementation of your test settings within the learning platform offers you and your test participants among other things the following advantages: 

  • ONYX test and survey resources are displayed directly as learning resources in the learning platform OPAL and do not need to be recreated.
  • You can assign individual user rights within the ONYX question bank to benefit from the advantages of collaboratively creating and maintaining test resources.
  • Once authenticated to the learning platform, users have access to several e-learning tools in addition to the test resources.
  • The start and configuration of tests can be controlled by a variety of attributes.
  • You can monitor and actively intervene in tests if necessary (exam mode).
  • Integrate your test content into your existing teaching and learning scenarios with the learning platform for classification, knowledge aquisition, and knowledge testing purposes.
  • The learning platform OPAL allows the representation of simple self-tests for training purposes as well as the implementation of complex examination scenarios.

Provide tests in OPAL

In the following, you will find described a basic workflow for providing tests in the learning platform OPAL. More detailed information about the learning platform OPAL can be found in the OPAL user manual.

To integrate an ONYX test as a course element into your OPAL course, you as the author and supervisor should plan the following steps:

Login

Log into the learning platform OPAL as a user. To create or edit courses, you need author rights, which can be obtained from your assigned support centre.

Open course

Open the desired course in which you want to perform the assessment. If there is no course yet, you will need to create and release a new course. The course should contain at least one learning group.

Assign ONYX resources

Create a self-test, test or survey element in the course and assign it an ONYX resource.

Assess results

To assess test results, you can use different results views and evaluation options in the assessment tool. These include statistical overviews for ONYX resources and the option of conducting anonymous task-based assessments.

Start test or survey

After their authentication, participants open the course. They will find the course in the Teach & Learn area if they have been enrolled in it. For more information on how to find relevant courses, refer to the help page Work in courses. 

Within the opened course, the user navigates to the desired course element. By clicking on the button Start test or Start survey, the user opens the assessment and may run it if necessary.

Assess test or survey

Depending on the resource, simple or extensive assessments can be performed. An overview of all available options can be found on the help page Test assessment.
