Replace or Edit Test Version
Replace
Click this button to replace the stored test resource with another test resource. This opens the same window that is described in the Select test section above. You can now select, create, or import a test resource. If there is a newer test version available, you can also update the old version using this path. For more information, see the section Replace test versionTestinhalt veraendern oder austauschen.
Edit
Click this button to open the test resource in the ONYX editor. In this area, you have the option to edit the test content and to create and configure additional questions. For further information on working with the ONYX editor and the available question formats, see the Create tests with the ONYX Testsuite help page. If a newer test version exists, the older version can no longer be edited. The Edit button will then be disabled.
Correction mode and new test version
Both options (correction mode, new test version) are displayed when a resource with existing user results is opened for editing.
The correction mode can be used for small changes such as spelling corrections. No significant test contents can be changed. This means that you cannot add new tasks or change test or task options or assessments.
A new test version should be used if you want to change the test content significantly. You can use all editing functions and customize all execution options.
If the option Correction mode is used, no further changes in the course editor are necessary and the course element does not have to be published either. The corrected version will be displayed right away with each new test start. If, on the other hand, a new test version is created, it then has to be actively exchanged so that the new version is displayed to the user. As long as this is not done, the user still sees the older version when starting the resource.
Replace test version
Replacing a new test version is done analogous to replacing any other test resource:
If a newer test version exists, a notification message will appear in the course editor. The link in the title of the notification message leads you directly to the corresponding course element.
Use the Replace button in the Test configuration tab to enable the new version.
A dialogue opens, which allows you to select the new test version or another test resource. To use the newer version of the existing resource, click on the plus icon in the Actions column in the upper area.
If there are test results available for this course element, you can save these results and download them if necessary. In the last step of the wizard, you can optionally send an email to the users concerned.
Publish the course element to make the new version available in the course view. |
