9 Ziel der Verifikation ist die Bestätigung, dass die gewählte HTML-Datei nicht nachträglich manipuliert wurde. Dazu wird die mit dem Standard SHA-3 erzeugte technische Prüfsumme (Hashwert-Verfahren) mit dem in der HTML-Seite enthaltenen Wert verglichen. Ist der Wert gleich, fällt die Verifikation positiv aus.

15 Eine Verifikation kann insbesondere für den Prüfungsnachweis (exam.html/summary.html), ebenso aber auch für die Prüfungseinsicht (assessment.html) durchgeführt werden. Die im jeweiligen Dokument angegebene Prüfsumme ist ein Hash-Wert über den Inhalt der Dokumente. Mit der Verifikation wird nachgewiesen, dass keine Änderung an den Dokumenten erfolgt ist.
