08 Changing the Question Type

The function Changing the question type allows you to change individual questions into other question types. In doing so, you create a new question of the selected question type and take over the contents of the original one. This includes the task incl. media, assessment settings, feedback, variables and metadata.

The function is available for the question types Extended Text Interaction, Upload Interaction and Drawing.

How to change the question type

 

If the function is available for the selected question, you will find another button in the Question and Answer tab behind the name of the question type.

This button starts the function.

By clicking it, you open a dialogue in which all available question types are displayed. Here you can select your preferred question type for the new question and confirm your choice by clicking on the Changing question type button.

The dialogue closes, and the new question of your selected type is created and opened directly. All information of the existing question has been taken over and can now be modified if necessary.
